MIDI Looping and MIDI Translator Live

Recording MIDI in Ableton Live can be hard to navigate live. The video Below goes over the basics of using a MIDI Translator to control Ableton Live to make this a lot easier.

To Do This:

First Download Bome's MIDI Translator: http://www.bome.com/products/miditranslator/overview/classic

After you Install this you can set your MIDI controller. Then Set whatever signal you want by pressing it and then set the Outgoing. I set the outgoing to Right, Left, Up, Down, and Enter.

By Setting a Key on your MIDI controller to enter it will then start to record your MIDI on the track. Then enter again will play the MIDI loop in time.

This technique has opened a lot in my live set and opens up WORLDS of possibilities with Key strokes.

Review of the i-controls by ICON

ICON sent me some midi controllers a few weeks back and I just finished this review of the i-controls. It is a great alternative to the korg nano, which seems to break a lot on me.  Here are the videos I made on reviewing it, and an instillation help.

Flux for Spatialization

Over the past few months I have been using a new Free Plugin VST I found and it's been amazing. Its from the company called Flux and the the VST is called Stereo Tool.  This Plugin is amazing for dialing in your elements to get a great sound stage and placement. Its supper easy to use. Here is an image below.

This lets you increase the stereo width, pan the element, gain the right and left seperatly and more. I am now getting in the habit of putting this on every track in my production. Supper useful and wanted to share it with you all.  To download it for free follow this link: http://www.fluxhome.com/products/freewares/stereotool
